Gloria Tovar, BA
Everyone deserves to be heard and validated. Gloria believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is fostered through empathy and a willingness to see other perspectives. She is also a strong believer that everyone deserves to receive services in their native language, and is fluent, and able to conduct therapy, in both Spanish and English.
Gloria comes to TGC from Northwestern University. She is an open individual who strives to help others see their own strength. She is passionate about working one-on-one and with couples. While being open to using many approaches to counseling Gloria encourages the use of mindfulness practices and the development of coping skills. She sees the value in diversity and differences, embraces working with a range of people from all backgrounds.
Gloria has experience working with diverse populations. She has worked with children on the autism spectrum in both home and school settings, and has experience working with adolescents and adults in a residential setting that was focused in DBT.

Gloria received her Bachelor of Arts in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Saint Xavier University in 2017. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Counseling at Northwestern University, and will be graduating August 2020. Gloria is eager to become a part of your team and collaborate towards your personal growth. Gloria is available to do sessions in English or Spanish at TGC’s Naperville location.
