Janeisha Hood, MA, LPC
Janeisha Hood is non-judgmental and compassionate therapist that strives to help clients develop skills to foster growth and positive change. Janeisha helps clients understand that mental self-care is equally important as physical self-care. Janeisha believes that the clients are the best experts in their lives Janeisha wants clients to understand that therapy is about working together to find strategies that works best for client so that they may reach their full potential.
Janeisha has worked in various mental health settings and has developed a wealth of knowledge to be able to customize therapeutic approaches to fi the needs of the client. Janeisha understands that therapy is not a one size fits all model. She can help each client feel heard, understand and have their own individual voices.
Using an eclectic approach, she is attuned and skilled at helping clients realize and reach their potential. Equipped with training in DBT, EFT, attachment theory, expressive arts and CBT, Janeisha will be by yourside to help you through some of life’s toughest challenges.

Janeisha received her Bachelors of Art in Psychology with a minor in Women and gender Studies from Concordia University in River Forest, IL. Janeisha went on to receive her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a graduate certificate in Women and Gender Studies from Roosevelt University. While at Roosevelt University, Janeisha had the opportunity to travel to Italy to present research on Cooking/Baking as an expressive art. Janeisha enjoys expressive arts and is in the process of taking courses to become a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist.
