Kaitlan Johnson, BA
You deserve to have a fulfilling counseling experience. Kaitlan believes that building a healthy trusting relationship is key to fostering confidence in her clients. She provides this by ensuring that her clients feel heard and working collaboratively with them on goals that are best suited.
While bringing a consistent mind-body approach to all counseling, incorporating techniques of mindfulness and meditation, she also leverages psychodynamic, CBT and DBT approaches. Kaitlan enjoys working closely with individuals of all cultural background and orientations and has a range of experience and training in working with children with behavioral issues and is experienced in supporting families in navigating the school system.
Kaitlan empowers her clients by equipping them with meditation, yoga and the benefits of theoretical tools that helps clients manage stress. Meeting with her will be an open and affirming experience.

Kaitlan graduated with her Bachelors of arts in Psychology and Public Health from DePaul University. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology in the child and Adolescent track at Northwestern University. She has experience working in ABA therapy and has been trained in Therplay and has participated in early learning intervention research.
